Today we pop in to see Stephanie Caird, Business Centre Coordinator at Elevator’s Business Centre in Westhill. She has provided us with some interesting facts about the local area, and most importantly the businesses housed in the centre.

Westhill Business Centre offers 4,500 square feet of serviced office space and can provide a home to 24 businesses in the heart of Arnhall Business Park.
One of our longer standing tenants of 14 years is Brimmond Financial Planning, run by John West and assisted by his wife Linda.

New to our Westhill Centre is Fulcrum North Sea Ltd who have been with us since September 2015.
Fulcrum is an independent company, specialising in Functional Safety solutions for the North Sea Oil & Gas industry.

My name is Stephanie Caird, I have worked at the Westhill Business Centre for over 11 years!
I love the interaction I have with all my tenants, but I have to say I hate it when we get empty offices.
I love spending time with my husband Ronnie and my dog; she is a 3-year-old German Shepherd and she is just beautiful.
For those who don’t know, I was registered blind in 2009 but I don’t let this disability get in the way of my day to day life and work, in fact, I think I am doing a pretty good job.
What makes Westhill great
This is the road out of Westhill before the large Tesco and the roundabout was built.
In fact, there were only fields surrounding the entrance into Westhill.
To take a left turn out of Westhill you were literally taking your life into your own hands.
Westhill is a busy suburb 8 miles west of Aberdeen which has a population of around 13,000, this has grown a fair amount compared to in the 90’s which was around 8,000.
Westhill has grown so much in the last 20 years due to oil and gas boom (in better times).
At Elevator, we remain optimistic despite the current Oil and Gas downturn. We support businesses in all sectors and we see a significant trend of subsea businesses emerging in Westhill.
Westhill is a thriving community with 3 Primary Schools, 1 Academy, 3 coffee shops and several restaurants, including an oriental restaurant, 2 Indian restaurants and many other food cuisines.
The Business Centre itself is walking distance to Costco, a large Tesco Supermarket, the Premier Inn Hotel and Shepherds Rest Restaurant.
We are proud to have a Gold post box in Westhill after Tim Baillie, who is from Westhill, won a gold medal in Canoeing in the 2012 London Olympics.
And keeping with the sporting theme Westhill will host its first 10k run in June 2016.
