Enterprise North East Trust is a not for profit private limited company; its vision is to generate and recycle wealth, to energise and inspire individuals, as a result improving the economic prospects of its communities.
In the North East, Aberdeen Enterprise Trust was formed in the mid 1980's followed by three rural trusts, Kincardine and Deeside (KADET) based in Aboyne, Gordon Enterprise (GET) based in Inverurie and Enterprise North East (ENE) based in Peterhead. These four Trusts merged in 2002 to form Enterprise North East Trust (Enterprise).
The flexibility of the four trusts in Grampian and their ability to work together and finally merge has enabled Enterprise to continue to serve its business community and to expand into new areas such as property and entrepreneurship development.
In 2007 Enterprise successfully retained the contract to deliver Business Gateway services in Grampian and won the contract to deliver the same in Tayside.
Enterprise now employs over 60 staff and delivers business services from Banff to Perth.
