Aberdeen Business Duo Head To Awards Finals
Document management copy and scan solutions service company Capture Imaging, who launched in October 2005, has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Young Business award category of this year's annual Grampian Awards for Business Enterprise.
Capture Imaging directors Colin Yule and Robbie Cheyne, whose business aims to provide a local, personal service in the field of document management and has a combined industry experience of 31 years, are no strangers to the awards ceremony as they scooped first place in the New Business Award category at last year's Grampian Awards for Business Enterprise. The pair also recently bagged three awards in one night at the Konica Minolta Awards in London, picking up the Most Outstanding Performance in the UK Award, as well as receiving a Special Recognition Achievement and coming third in the UK for colour copier sales. You may expect the duo to be nonchalant about such honours but they still remain excited about their success as Capture Imaging director Colin Yule explains:
"After winning last years award for New Business at the Grampian Awards for Business Enterprise we certainly didn't expect to be nominated as finalists again this year. However, we felt that we should apply again as the company has been going form strength to strength since our win."
Capture Imaging director Robbie Cheyne says, "Even being nominated as finalists last year was a real confidence boost for the company but scooping the award was the icing on the cake. We understood that our staff deserved to be recognised for their hard work and were able to dedicate the prize money to staff development and team building which has enhanced the company even further."
The Awards, which commend business achievement in companies of all sizes and enterprising individuals, are organised by Enterprise North East Trust (ENET), which delivers Business Gateway services in the north-east on behalf of Scottish Enterprise Grampian, sponsors of the event along with The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS).
All finalists receive a certificate and category winners will receive a coveted enterprise award and a cheque for up to £5,000.
Winners will be announced at a black tie awards ceremony on Thursday 7 June 2007 at Ardoe House Hotel by Aberdeen. Simon Woodroffe, founder of YO! Sushi and one of Britain's highest profile male entrepreneurs, will be the keynote speaker at the event.
The awards ceremony will take place on 7th June at Ardoe House Hotel, by Aberdeen. Tickets cost £80 per guest (plus VAT) or £800 (plus VAT) for a table of ten. The event begins with a champagne reception at 7pm, with carriages at 12.30am.
