AGM Sees Reappointment of Enterprise North East Trust Directors

Enterprise North East Trust (Enterprise) today, Friday 01 December 2006, announces the reappointment to the board of three of its Directors. Chief Executive, Chris Travis, Link Fleet’s Steve Cook - the Chairman of the Board - and Councillor John Stewart, of Aberdeen City Council, were all re-elected. The resolutions were passed at the 2006 Annual General Meeting held on the evening of Tuesday 28 November 2006. All three had been required to retire by rotation but, being eligible to stand, were re-elected. The meeting also saw Alison Smith of Cults-based Activpayroll retiring from the board of Directors.

Morag Fraser, Communications Manager of Enterprise, commented: "Steve Cook’s re-appointment as Chairman is of great benefit to the board, with his wealth of experience in small business networking within the north east of Scotland. Councillor Stewart provides us with years of experience in a number of leading roles including vice-convenor of Aberdeen City Council’s Education and Leisure Committee."

At the AGM the Memorandum of Association was also updated to reflect the latest objectives of the organization.

Morag continued: "In a changing market, it is important that the support provided by Enterprise is correspondingly adaptable. We aim to achieve this by updating the Memorandum of Association accordingly."

The meeting also saw accounts for the company approved by auditors Meston Reid & Co, who have been reappointed in their role until the 2007 AGM.
