Buoyant economy results in 100% occupancy rates at business centres
Enterprise North East Trust (ENET) today, Thursday 9 November 2006, announces that the occupancy rates at the Crichiebank, Thainstone and Westhill business centres are 100%. This maintains the status quo at Crichiebank and Westhill and represents an increase of 5% for the business centre at Thainstone. In addition eight of the ten business centres which are managed by ENET have either met or exceeded their target occupancy levels.
Karen Pugh, director of property services, at ENET comments, "The north east economy is booming and the occupancy rates for the business centres that we operate are certainly representative of that fact. The Crichiebank business centre was officially opened in September 2005 and has proved popular from the outset. As it was developed following an assessment of market needs it is gratifying to see it providing a valued service to the local business community.
"The business centres continue to be a popular option with both new and growing north east businesses because of the flexibility that they offer. Businesses can choose to take office space to suit their individual requirements on flexible terms." Karen adds, "The fact that the minimum lease period is one month frequently proves attractive to both new and growing businesses."
ENET manages 53,000 square feet of office space at 10 business centres located across the north of Scotland. The locations include Aberdeen, Banff, Peterhead, Ellon, Fraserburgh and Huntly. The services are currently being utilised by more than 130 actual tenants and 80 virtual tenants.
Karen adds, "The business centres are also an easy option for businesses because the rental fee includes rent, electricity, cleaning, fire and security alarms, use of common areas, building insurance and telephone answering in the company name. The business centres also offer conference and meeting room facilities which as well as being available for use by tenants can also be used by businesses which are not based in the business centres."
Enterprise North East Trust (ENET) operates ten serviced offices across the north east, the centres located in Fraserburgh, Peterhead (Burnside), Huntly and Westhill are managed by Enterprise in partnership with Aberdeenshire Council.
