Huntly Trailing

The deadline for the Grampian Awards for Business Enterprise has been extended until Tuesday 28 February 2006 to allow more businesses to submit their entries.  The awards which are in their seventh year are organised by Enterprise North East Trust (Enterprise) and sponsored by Royal Bank of Scotland and Business Gateway (supported by SE Grampian).

Chris Travis, Chief Executive of Enterprise comments, “Aberdeen companies are responsible for 60% of entries thus far; we have not yet received any entries from companies in Huntly.  We know that there are many progressive and dynamic companies in the area and we’re disappointed that entries from Huntly have not been forthcoming.  We hope that by extending the deadline, companies will be encouraged to enter the awards to compete for recognition for their business achievement.”

There are six categories in the 2006 Grampian Awards for Business Enterprise.  Winners will receive a unique handcrafted trophy and the awards are one of the few which have a cash prize of up to £5000.

Each award category has its own criteria and businesses can enter more than one.

More information about entering the awards can be found at www.enetrust.com. Entry forms can be collected from branches of The Royal Bank of Scotland in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire, from Business Gateway outlets and from Enterprise North East Trust business centres and offices.

The deadline for first stage applications is 28th February 2006 and the shortlist of finalists will be announced on 13th April 2006 and the awards ceremony will take place on 8th June at Ardoe House Hotel, by Aberdeen.
