Business Centre Occupancy Rates Reach 100% in Thainstone and Westhill

Enterprise North East Trust (Enterprise) today, Thursday 19 January 2005, announces their second quarters results in terms of occupancy rates at the 10 business centres that they manage across the North East of Scotland.  The business centres at both Thainstone and Westhill achieved 100% occupancy rates for the period between 1 July 2005 and 30 September 2005, in addition six of the ten business centres exceeded their occupancy targets for the quarter.

Karen Pugh, facilities manager at Enterprise says, “The business centres managed by Enterprise offer a flexible solution to new and growing businesses.  The business centres provide businesses with the opportunity to take office space on flexible terms; the minimum lease period is just one month.  This means that as well as being ideal for new and growing businesses the space is also of interest to project based teams and those wishing to test the water prior to establishing a permanent base for their business in a new area.” 

Enterprise manages business centres in ten areas including Aberdeen, Huntly, Ellon, Fraserburgh, Peterhead, Banff, Aboyne, Westhill and Thainstone.  The rental fee for the offices includes rent, electricity, cleaning, fire and security alarms, use of common areas, building insurance and telephone answering in the company name. The business centres also offer conference and meeting room facilities which as well as being available for use by tenants can also be used by businesses which are not based in the business centres.

Karen adds, “The Crichiebank Business Centre was officially opened in September 2005 and is already achieving 87% occupancy rates.  The Crichiebank Business Centre was developed in response to an assessment of market needs which identified a need for office space to be available to rent, by small and growing businesses, on flexible terms.”

Enterprise North East Trust (Enterprise) operates ten serviced offices across the north east, the centres located in Fraserburgh, Peterhead (Burnside), Ellon and Westhill are managed by Enterprise in partnership with Aberdeenshire Council.
