Enterprise Annual Review

Enterprise North East Trust, as part of its annual general meeting is inviting businesses to ‘stop the turf wars and get back to business’ at the Treetops Hotel, Aberdeen on Wednesday 30 November 2005 from 6.00pm.

Chris Travis, chief executive of Enterprise, “This is a very important message and for this reason we have flown behavioural science expert, Annette Simmons of Group Process Consulting, from the US to give north east business owners an insight into the territorial games being played in their organisations that are preventing business success.”

Annette is a specialist in the field of behavioural science and boasts an impressive client list which includes NASA, US Federal Government Agencies, IBM and Microsoft.  Annette’s groundbreaking research documents the ten territorial games which includes camouflage, occupation, shunning and intimidation.  These games are played covertly in many businesses and can have a detrimental impact on operations.

Annette’s speech will focus on her research and will detail how people can uncover the territorial games being played in their organisation.  She can also help businesses to understand the emotional origins of the territorial games to help to prevent the games happening at all.  Annette has written three books which have a world wide audience, one of which “The Story Factor” is being re-released in March 2006.

“Our guest speaker for the event, Annette Simmons, is a very inspiring and interesting lady, who will be giving delegates an insight into her extensive research in the behavioural science field and her work on the territorial games.  As an expert in her field and an entrepreneur in her own right, Annette will be giving attendees the tools to uncover and prevent territorial games which may be operating in their own organisation.” Chris Travis, chief executive of Enterprise comments, “The Annual General Review is an excellent opportunity for local business people and our stakeholders to find out about the achievements and successes of Enterprise over the last year.”

Businesses that want help and advice to end the turf wars that are preventing business success can attend an in-depth seminar, held by Annette on Wednesday 30 November 2005 from 9.00am – 1.00pm at the Crichiebank Business Centre, Port Elphinstone, Inverurie.
