Interested in applying for a Farm Business Development Grant (FBDS) but want to know more? Considering taking part in a Whole Farm Review Scheme (WFRS) but wondering if it’s for you? How is cross compliance affecting you? Hear how local SEERAD Officers are finding it! Come and join us, FBDS Project Manager, WFRS accredited Advisers, SEERAD Officers and Farm Businesses that have successfully used the above schemes at a series of road show evenings at the following locations; 1st November, 6.30 for 7pm – Barn and Bushel, Thainstone, Inverurie. 22nd November, 6.30 for 7pm – Douglas Arms, Banchory. 29th November, 6.30 for 7pm – Country Park Inn, Mintlaw. The Farm Business Support is running three evening events to give farm business and family of farmers the opportunity to talk to businesses and advisers who have successfully been involved in Farm Business Support initiatives. The Farm “Business Development Scheme” offers farmers and their immediate family grants to start up enterprises that diversify from primary agriculture. Morvern Proctor Project Manager will be on hand as well as farmers who have successfully applied for grants. The Whole Farm Review Scheme offers up to 80% of the funding to get a qualified Farm Business Adviser to help look at where the farm business has been and where it is going in the future. Accredited Advisers will be on hand as well as farmers who have taken up the Scheme. Also on the night SEERAD Officers will be discussing Single Farm Payments and Land Management Contracts and how they and farmers are working with cross compliance. For further details contact Simon Fraser on 01224 289726 or to book a place call Karen Clark on 01467 672535.
