Ask the Experts Maud

Date: 29th March 2005

Enterprise North East Trust (Enterprise) is holding an ‘Ask The Experts’ networking event on Tuesday 29th March 2005 at Maud Village Hall, Maud from 6pm onwards. The event is supported by Scottish Enterprise Grampian in association with Business Gateway and the Buchan Development Partnership, will give delegates the opportunity to talk to local experts about some of the key issues affecting local businesses.

Delegates will gain expert advice from local business experts on a range of important topics including, taxation, human resources, accessing finance and legal issues affecting small businesses. Attendees will be split into small groups and will have the opportunity to move around the room and speak to the experts most concerned with the issues affecting their business field, allowing them to maximise their time and gain relevant business advice.

Joyce Duncan, director of operations at Enterprise says, "For business owners, this event is an ideal opportunity to gain expert advice and talk through important issues that may affect them. As our panel of experts are specialists in their chosen field, and can raise awareness of the important issues which may affect local businesses, delegates will be better prepared for any potential situations that may arise. The atmosphere of the event will be comfortable and informal, to allow attendees to take full advantage of the opportunities to network, share ideas and meet with other local business owners."

Experts on hand for the evening include:

Jenny Coleman of the Inland Revenue - Taxation

David Mackenzie of HM Customs and Excise – VAT

John Hannah – Shearer Bruce & Paterson – Accountant

Chris Gallon – Gray & Gray – Solicitor

Graham McWilliam – QMS – Health and Safety

PJ Chalmers – QMS – Employment Law

Joyce continues, "The event is primarily for businesses that have been trading for a few years, although any company can benefit from attending. The range of experts we have for the event allows for a varied and interesting discussion and professional advice for delegates attending the event."

The event is free of charge, due to the support of Scottish Enterprise Grampian, with a light buffet being served during the evening. To book a place for the event, please contact Karen Clark at Enterprise North East Trust (Enterprise) on 01467 672535 or email Karen.clark@enetrust.com.
