Enterprise Employment Law Update Event Looks to the Future
Date: 14 January 2005Enterprise North East Trust (Enterprise) is holding an ‘Employment Law Update’ event on Wednesday 26 January 2005 at the Queens Hotel, Aberdeen from 12noon onwards. The event, sponsored by Croner Consulting Scotland, will update employers on the changing laws concerning the human resources as well as addressing other issues in relation to employment law. It follows Croner Consulting Scotland’s successful ‘Annual Employment Law Conference’ in October, where new and existing legal issues affecting businesses were revealed. The lunchtime event will give delegates the opportunity to gain expert advice from Jackie Mann, regional manager – Scotland and Northern Ireland of Croner Consulting Scotland, part of Wolters Kluwer (UK) Limited. Jackie has worked in a variety of HR manager roles, within a range of industries including newspaper publishing, manufacturing and oil and gas, in the UK, US, Middle East and Asia Pacific regions. Jackie Mann of Croner Consulting Scotland, part of Wolters Kluwer (UK) Limited, says, "As legislation is changing all the time, it can be difficult for employers to keep up-to-date with the correct procedures for dealing with employment law issues. For businesses to function legally, it is important that they are acquainted with new laws and take action to implement any new legislation, I will be taking delegates through the existing issues they need to be aware of and look towards future legislation that may affect local businesses." Joyce Duncan, director of operations at Enterprise says, "For business owners, this event is an ideal opportunity to gain expert advice and talk through important issues that may affect them. Our guest speaker is a specialist within the HR field, and can raise awareness of the important issues which may affect local businesses, so that delegates will be better prepared for any potential situations that may arise." Joyce continues, "The atmosphere of the event will be comfortable and informal, to allow attendees to take full advantage of the opportunities to network, share ideas and meet with other local business owners." The event is free of charge, due to the support of Croner Consulting Scotland.
