Annual Review

Enterprise Annual Review

Date: 27th October 2004

Enterprise North East Trust is inviting local business people and stakeholders to its Annual Review Business Breakfast at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre on Wednesday 17th November 2003 between 7am and 9am.  The event is being sponsored by Leadership Excellence, providers of leadership, team and behavioural safety programmes, and is themed around leadership.  The key note speaker at the event will be Liz Jackson, of Great Guns Marketing. Liz Jackson is a motivational speaker and will give delegates an insight into how she motivates her staff and herself.

Great Guns Marketing was launched by Liz over six years ago, with the help of the Prince of Wales Trust.  Despite losing her sight at 31, the year she started her business, Liz went on to achieve the Women Mean Business Award and her company scooped the Customer Focussed Award, demonstrating Liz’s entrepreneurial and motivational skills. The company turnover is now nearly £2 million and is growing at a rate of 40% per annum.

Continuing the leadership theme, delegates will also gain an insight into the work of Leadership Excellence who offer expert programmes in behavioural safety and team development using experiential learning - a unique blend of classroom based theory and active learning at their exclusive outdoor learning facility by Thainstone. Leadership Excellence brings together the Leadership Excellence Ltd (LEL) facilities – including a low and high ropes course which is one of only a few such amenities in the country – and the global training experience of Randy Smith Training Solutions.

Duncan Bonner of Leadership Excellence says, “We specialise in providing learning opportunities and programmes aimed at improving interaction between varying groups of people.  Our programmes work with any sector of the business community and address issues such as improved communications, team dynamics, behaviour-based run training programmes for employees from all sectors on a variety of issues including safety, team building and problem-solving. Last year alone, more than 3,000 people took part in the programmes which are held in the grounds of Thainstone House Hotel.”

Chris Travis, Chief Executive at Enterprise says, “Our guest speaker will be a real inspiration, demonstrating the motivational and leadership skills of a successful entrepreneur.  Liz’s experiences in the marketing field will give delegates the opportunity to learn from her and also take her knowledge into their own workplaces.  The Annual Review is an excellent opportunity for local business people and our stakeholders to find out about the achievements and successes of Enterprise over the last year. ”
