Help Your Business Grow with Enterprise North East Trust
Date: 13 September 2004
Enterprise North East Trust is holding two networking lunches on ‘Growing Your Business’ at the Riverview Business Centre, Centurion Court, North Esplanade West, Aberdeen on Wednesday 15th September and Wednesday 29th September 2004 from 12noon until 2.00pm. For companies that are looking to expand their business now or in the future, this event will provide useful advice and support to get them on track. The guest speakers will take delegates through their business experiences and how Enterprise has helped them.
Speaking at the event will be Tina McGougan of Lethenty Kennels and Cattery and Denise Darwin of Denise Darwin Training. Each of the guest speakers will give delegates an insight into how Enterprise can support and assist businesses looking to grow and expand.
Tina McGougan of Lethenty Kennels says, “Taking the steps to set up in business is something I’ve always wanted to do, it was a daunting prospect and I found it quite difficult to know who to entrust with confidential and sensitive financial information. However, my business advisor has consistently given me professional, impartial and constructive advice on every step of my business journey.”
Tina continues, “I was considering whether to expand my business and take on more staff, but wasn’t sure if I could because of financial constraints. My Enterprise business advisor discussed possible opportunities and helped me to create a financial projection plan, this allowed me to see in black and white whether it would be feasible to do this. I have now got 5 members of staff working for me, so my Enterprise business advisor has given me the confidence to expand and develop my business the best possible way.”
Ian Begg, senior business development executive at Enterprise says, “At Enterprise we advise businesses who are thinking of expanding, or those going through a growth period, to devise a business plan. The plan acts as a blueprint to map out the most effective and strategic way to grow the business to its maximum potential. To get a clearer understanding of where businesses are positioned at the moment and where they want to be in the future, our business advisors will meet with companies to develop a realistic action plan for taking the business forward in the most effective way.”
Ian continues “Enterprise can also help to create a marketing plan, this will help businesses identify whether their products or services are ready for the marketplace. The marketing plan will help businesses set the right prices for goods and services, target the largest number of potential clients and ensure they are getting the right message across to their customers. In doing so this maximises the businesses chances of getting where they want to be. For businesses over 18 months old, fully funded Enterprise assistance is available.”
Karen Clark of Enterprise says, “The guest speakers we will have on hand at the event will give delegates an interesting insight into how Enterprise has helped other local businesses develop and the type of support that is available to them. The event is also an ideal occasion for companies to make new contacts and find potential business opportunities.”
