Aberdeen City Council and Aberdeenshire Council working in collaboration with The Aberdeen City and Shire regional identity is backing the 2009 Grampian Awards as this event is one which seeks to encourage enterprise by selecting and rewarding entrepreneurial companies and individuals that are capable of leading the future prosperity of Aberdeen City and Shire. 

This is a very worthwhile venture as the region needs to acknowledge and support the aspirations and achievements of its business community.
