Aberdeen Based Source People Celebrate Continued Success with Award Nomination
Source People, a proactive and responsive company formed to provide innovative and professional recruitment solutions in the skilled commercial disciplines has reached the finals of the eighth annual Grampian Awards for Business Enterprise.
Source People was founded by directors Pauline Redpath and David Priestley in October 2004. The pair met whilst working for a competitor and realised that they shared the same passion for recruitment, forming strong relationships and playing their part in adding value to their clients' companies.
David Priestley, director of Source People, says, "The company continues to go from strength to strength and our award nomination gives recognition to our hard working and dedicated team. Some of our team left established blue chip companies to join Source in its infancy, and without their belief in both the company and the directors we would not be in the position we are in today.
"We are proud of the fact that our consultant's expertise moves beyond general industry knowledge such as technical and engineering but also into specialist sectors such as subsea or pipeline and as a result we are able to provide a better service to our clients.
David continues, "One of the major challenges we have faced to date has been securing appropriate premises to facilitate the company's rapid growth as our workforce has trebled in the past two years. We had a clear vision of the type of environment we wished to create that would be suited to staff, clients and candidates.
"Being a finalist in the Young Business category is a great accolade, as this is an award which commends businesses as having the potential to develop into a dynamic business of the future. Source is dedicated to assisting the local oil and gas community through the current climate of skills shortages. We have established strong relationships with the Aberdeen expat community around the world in the hope of attracting these talented people back to Aberdeen for the benefit of the region as a whole.
Pauline Redpath, director of Source People, says, "Internationalisation has been at the heart of Source's vision since its conception and the company has been structured appropriately to meet this goal. In the short term we are establishing a strong foundation team from which our international network will extend from. Our long term plans include the development of an international network of offices in each of the global oil and gas hubs.
"Source is focused on opening up opportunities worldwide highlighting the skills base in the North East of Scotland. Both David and I are passionate about promoting the area as a desirable destination for professionals looking to move to the region as well as to companies. We are confident that our new headquarters in Golden Square, Aberdeen, will be a strong foundation for our exciting international development."
