The Alick Buchanan Smith Spirit of Enterprise Award

For businesses that will be more than 5 years old at 1 June 2005. Businesses applying for the award should highlight significant enterprise, growth, and development of new ideas and contribution to the local economy. The “Spirit of Enterprise” is awarded in memory of the former MP for Kincardine & Deeside, the late Alick Buchanan Smith, who was committed to enterprise and the small businesses of his local constituency.
