Grampian Awards for Business Enterprise 2005
The Grampian Awards for Business Enterprise are presented in association with The Royal Bank of Scotland and Business Gateway and seek to encourage enterprise by selecting and rewarding entrepreneurial companies and individuals that are capable of leading the future prosperity of Grampian. The award categories for 2005 are as follows: - New Start Award - businesses that have been trading for less than 1 year at 1 June 2005. Prize a unique handcrafted Award and a cheque for £3000.
- Young Business Award - businesses that have been trading for less than 3 years at 1 June 2005. Prize a unique handcrafted Award and a cheque for £3000.
- Business Growth Award - for businesses that have been trading for more than 3 years and have shown significant growth in one or more of the following areas; Training; Marketing; People development; E-commerce; International trade. Prize a unique handcrafted Award and a cheque for £3000.
- The Alick Buchanan Smith Spirit of Enterprise Award - businesses that will be more than 5 years old at 1 June 2005. Businesses applying for the award should highlight significant enterprise, growth, and development of new ideas and contribution to the local economy. Prize a unique handcrafted Award and a cheque for £3000.
- Sir Ian Wood Award for Innovation - for businesses who can demonstrate an innovative approach to product or service development. This should demonstrate originality and innovation in product or service delivery, and have had or have the potential to have a positive impact on the Grampian economy. Prize a unique handcrafted Award and a cheque for £5000.
- Ian Davidson Award for Entrepreneurship - presented to a young entrepreneur (under 35 on 9 June 2005) who has demonstrated genuine flair, risk taking and business achievement. The Award is for personal achievement and may reflect the success and/or performance of more than one business venture.
